OUR AIM
Our aim is to allow our audience to understand the situation of the mass migration of people moving from rural areas to urban areas. We want to raise awareness of some of the benefits, problems, and facts so that they can have good judgement and spread the word next time they experience interacting with farmers/migrants. OUR MESSAGE
We need to emphasize the importance of having these migrants in the city. They are willing to do jobs that most city dwellers will never do. They provide the city with cheaper goods (due to their cheap labor) and many of the enjoyments of everyday life; for example, most chefs and security guards are not originally from the city. Yet, they do also cause some problems. Without enough farmers on the plantations, there might not be enough food. Also, migrants who do not find jobs are trapped in the city forced to beg for food and live off the streets.
SHORT TERM GOALS 1. Learn more of the facts about migrating, and the percentage who have jobs and other stats. 2.Spreading our message to the community, esp. the one in the school 3. Creating a website to inform people about the situation
LONG TERM GOAL Prevent farmers from being looked down upon and allow them to be aware of the dangers that the city holds.
